The management of The Belize Bank Corporation Limited is vested in the Board of Directors:

The directors are re-appointed on an annual basis by the shareholders in General Meeting or by the directors from time to time to fill a casual vacancy or as an addition to the Board. The current Board of Directors is comprised of:

Executive Chairman

A career banker with almost 3 decades of experience, Mr. Guiseppi was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Belize Bank in August 2008. Under his leadership the bank has diversified its portfolio, increased its level of profitability, improved the quality of its assets and has seen a significant increase in its level of capitalization.

Mr. Filippo Alario

Executive Director

A 25 year career banker in the Caribbean, Mr. Alario held several executive management positions at several international and regional financial institutions. He has a wealth of experience in the areas of Corporate and Investment Banking, Capital Market, Risk Management, and Compliance.

Mr. Michael Coye

Executive Director

A graduate of Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri, Mr. Coye has a degree in Accounting and holds a Masters of Accountancy from Arizona State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts, as well as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Belize.

Dr. Euric Bobb

Independent Non-Executive Deputy Chairman

Dr. Bobb holds a BA(Hons) degree and a Ph. D in Economics from the University of Cambridge. In 1969, he was recruited by the World Bank, through its Young Professionals Program, where he worked as an Economist for several years before taking up an appointment as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago in March 1978. He was Governor of the bank from August 1984 to February 1988.

Ms. Geraldine Davis Young

Independent Non-Executive Director

A former Director of the Financial Intelligence Unit and Commissioner of Inland Revenue for Belize, Ms. Davis-Young also acted as the local consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank during several years including on the implementation of the General Sales Tax in Belize. From 2010 to 2016, Ms. Davis-Young worked in California with H&R Block as a certified Tax Preparer.

Dr. Ydahlia Metzgen

Independent Non-Executive Director

Dr. Metzgen has over 25 years’ experience of working in senior financial and economic advisory roles. She worked for the International Monetary Fund (“IMF”) for 20 years until May 2011, most recently as Assistant Director in their Finance Department where she managed a US$20 billion investment portfolio.
